Häuslicher Gewalt tattoos

Here are the three lucky winners (along with Heidi) that managed to out bid rivals and secure the opportunity to be uniquely inked by me

Francesca won the first lot by donating €1370. This stunning bike tattoo is the start to her sleeve which will be entirely my work

Bonifaz won the second lot with a bid of €1060. He wanted a dia de los muertos (day of the dead) piece to commemorate the loss of his father so I decided to extend his lucky wrist piece and he refused to cover it afterwards with the intent to show his whole office.

Heidi was my glamorous assistant for the night and as such i rewarded her with her first tattoo. She wanted a full cherry blossom tree stretching up her leg influenced by silk scrolls from the Kamakura Period. As you can see i made a good start but need a second sitting to work heavier into the blossoms.

And finally Isabella donated €975 and got the final slot. She was unsure about the design in her head so i sat listening to her explain the image in her head while translating her thoughts with my drawing. She was fascinated by reflections and how they capture multiple emotions with only an instant and wanted the piece to show the enthusiasm that her late child had. And here's the result

Häuslicher Gewalt update

Here are a few pics of the live art display at last nights charity event in Berlin. As you can see i decided to work on a much more intimate canvas then the other artists and drew a much bigger crowd even if i do say so myself.

The beautiful model i was working on was the glamorous gallery employee Heidi; who i managed to tempt into helping me at the cost of a tattoo on my behalf. I'll add pics of her and the lucky bidders tattoos up here as soon as i do them all.

semi-realised potential

In the summer i took part in a workshop at the Cornerhouse in Manchester. The workshop was entitled "Unrealised Potential" and was linked to an exhibition they had on at the time. I was woking in the youth team and we are somewhat working in partnership with another two groups; one is the adult group and the other is the Harry Hill group

Unrealised Potential itself was created by Sam Ely & Lynn Harris, they proposed an active investigation into the potential of unrecognised, unfinished or unfulfilled ideas of other artists. they collected proposals from artists, designers, curators, writers, performers and musicians which had yet to be realised or remain unwritten.
"The project aims to create a space and context for this submitted information, a space where concepts are at the fore, are not fixed in a final product, and rely on the viewer's imagination to be 'realised', where a de-material, ill fitting, perfectly formed, forgotten, never forgotten, in between, ridiculous, attainable, subjective, co-authored, text, image, sound, archive lives in the present through the never ending poetics of potentiality."
.....................................I'll be attending the next art of the workshop on the 20th of November to meet the grown up groups......
